The Department of Biochemistry at The University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center invites applications from candidates for a tenure-track faculty position at the rank of Assistant Professor. Candidates should hold a Ph.D. or eqivalent and be engaged in innovative research within biochemistry, molecular biology, or at the interface between chemistry and biology. The Department is strongly research-oriented with major programs in metabolism and metabolic regulation, cancer biology, parasite biology, carbohydrate biochemistry, chemical biology, chemistry and drug discovery. We are particularly interested in strong candidates who wish to study molecular mechanisms of important biological processes and who will complement our existing strengths. UT Southwestern maintains state-of-the-art facilities and employs a faculty that includes four Nobel Laureates and sixteen members of the National Academy of Sciences.
