Description of the Department or Unit
The Department of Theatre and Dance is both NAST and NASD accredited and offers B.A. degrees in Theatre Arts and Dance Studies. The Department of Theatre & Dance believes diversity, equity, inclusion and access are foundational values in both education and art-making. The faculty and staff collectively realize our need to develop new awareness and re-examine past practices in order to better manifest these values. Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Teach 9 credits of performance courses per semester such as THR 2625 Voice and Movement for the Stage, THR 3635 Advanced Movement, other performance courses as needed. Candidate will collaborate and team teach with other performance faculty; contribute to the continued development of curriculum and course content for the BA Theatre Performance Concentration; function as academic advisor for performance students; and may contribute to the Department's co-curricular production program in areas such as stage combat, movement coaching, directing, or other areas of expertise.
