About The Position:
The School of Business & Economics is internationally accredited by the Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business (AACSB). We offer students a broad-based education with a global perspective and emphasis on experiential learning. The Marketing and Entrepreneurship department prepares students for careers as modern day business professionals. This tenure-track position is to begin Spring 2023 (preferred) or Fall 2023. The primary responsibilities of this faculty member will be teaching courses at the undergraduate level which may include courses such as digital marketing, advertising, mobile and social media marketing, and marketing strategy. Student advisement along with departmental, college, and university service is expected. SUNY Plattsburgh offers in-residence education and faculty are expected to be actively engaged on campus and contribute to an energetic educational environment. As an institution that delivers challenging and high- quality educational experiences to a diverse group of learners, the successful candidate must demonstrate an understanding of and sensitivity to diversity, inclusion, and equity-minded policies, programs, and practices. The successful candidate may be asked to teach courses in a distance learning format.

The College's 256-acre campus sits on the edge of the city's downtown area. Plattsburgh is home to a variety of arts and cultural venues, including the nearly 100-year-old Strand Theatre. Our active waterfront location features a small town feel combined with the advantages and opportunities of a larger urban center. The Plattsburgh area offers excellent schools, a vast health network and elder care services, along with wide retail offerings. It is an emerging home to microbreweries, wineries, community supported agriculture and more. The campus is within easy traveling distance to Montreal, Quebec; Lake Placid, N.Y.; and Burlington, V.T.
