About This Role:

The Department of Management in the College of Business at Kansas State University is seeking to hire a tenure-track Assistant Professor in Management Information Systems beginning August 2022. Responsibilities generally include conducting and publishing academic research, teaching two courses per semester, and assisting with the service mission of the department. What You'll Need to Succeed:

Minimum Qualifications:

  • A Ph.D. or equivalent degree in MIS or Data Analytics or a closely-related field from an AACSB accredited Business School (or must be within 6-months of degree completion at the start of contract)
  • Demonstrated potential for conducting high-quality research and publishing in high-quality journals in the MIS discipline
  • Demonstrated potential for high quality teaching in the MIS or Data Analytics area
  • Ability and willingness to contribute to the service mission of the college
  • Ability and willingness to work with diverse groups
  • Preferred Qualifications:

  • Strong research record as demonstrated through publications in top academic journals and presentations at national academic conferences
  • Prior university teaching experience in MIS or Data Analytics
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Related professional work experience
  • Commitment to understanding one's own experiences and perspectives as well as the experiences and perspectives of diverse others in an effort to cultivate strong relationships and effective collaboration.
  • Demonstrated ability to teach one or more of the advanced courses in MIS or Data Analytics such as:
  • Systems Analysis
  • Cybersecurity
  • Database
  • Other Requirements:
