I. ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA OF THE COMPETITION:
- the candidate must have a PhD in Linguistics with a specialisation in
Translation field;
significant scientific record, including at least two scientific
publications in the fields of specialised translation or translation
studies;
scientific track record after the award of the PhD degree;
- teaching experience in Spanish as a Foreign Language at university level;
- experience as Bachelor's thesis or Master's thesis supervisor in
translation field;
- teaching experience in specialised languages and specialised Translation;
- organizational experience;
- active participation in academic life;
- research and teaching aptitude confirmed by the opinion of an independent
research and teaching employee.
II. APPLICATION FOR THE COMPETITION SHOULD INCLUDE:
an application requesting employment addressed to the Rector of UMCS;
- a copy of the doctoral (PhD) diploma;
- a personal questionnaire and a CV;
- a list of scientific publications;
- a list of scientific, teaching and organizational achievements;
a declaration of compliance with the requirements specified in the Act on
Higher Education and Science of July 20, 2018 (i.e. Journal of Laws of
2022, item 574);
a candidate's declaration that UMCS will be their primary workplace;
- a candidate's declaration that they agree to the processing of personal
data in accordance with Article 6 Paragraph 1 Letter a) of Regulation (EU)
2016/679 of the European Parliament and of the Council of 27 April 2016 on the
protection of natural persons with regard to the processing of personal data
and on the free movement of such data, and repealing Directive 95/46/EC
(General Data Protection Regulation);
- references, opinion confirming candidate's sufficient teaching and research
aptitude.
III. CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT:
- full-time employment under a fixed-term employment contract from October 1,
2022 to September 30, 2023 in the primary workplace.

The competition will be settled no later than 14 September 2022
The university does not provide housing.
The settlement of the competition does not result in establishing an
employment relationship. The decision on employment is made by the Rector. The
University reserves the right to close the competition without a decision.
