Rector of Wrocław University of Economics and Business, announces the competition for positions of Assistant Professor in the didactic group in the Department of Financial Accounting, Taxes and Audit

Competitors should meet the conditions specified in art 113 of the Act of the Law on Higher Education and Science of 20 July 2018 (Journal of Laws of 2021, item 478, as amended) and in the University Statute.

The competition is for 1 position within the two competitions announced for the positions of Assistant and Assistant Professor in the group of teaching staff in Department of Financial Accounting, Taxes and Audit

I. QUALIFICATION CRITERIA FOR ASSISTANT PROFESSOR POSITION:

holding at least a doctoral degree confirmed by a diploma (recognized in the territory of the Republic of Poland on the basis of the regulations listed on the website: https: // nawa.gov.pl/en/recognition/legal-framework-for-recognition );

aptitude and preparation to conduct academic courses, using remote teaching tools;

experience in conducting classes in the following subjects: Taxes;

very good knowledge of English in speaking and writing, at least B2 level;

perfect knowledge of Polish in speaking and writing, C2 level;

communication skills and ease of establishing interpersonal contacts;

ability to work effectively in a team;

ability to set goals, commitment and consistency in their implementation;

time management ability.

II. OPTIONAL Q UALIFICATION CRITERIA FOR ASSISTANT PROFESSOR POSITION:

experience in conducting teaching classes or training in the following subjects: Tax law, tax system, tax records;

predispositions to scientific and research work, including the preparation of teaching materials.

predispositions to conduct classes in English will be an additional advantage

III. APPLICATION FOR THE COMPETITION SHOULD CONTAIN:

a letter of application to Rector Magnificus of Wroclaw University of Economics and Business;

academic biography clearly stating that the candidate fulfills the requirements for the particular job position (the candidate is obliged to address to every qualification criteria), including a statement confirming that the candidate has read and accepts the terms and conditions of the call for application;

documents confirming the experience in conducting any of the abovementioned courses or other related to the subject matter;

a duly certified copy of Master/Master of Science/ PhD degree held by the candidate;

IV. STAGES OF RECRUITMENT:

Administrative service of the recruitment process is provided by the Human Resources Department of the University of Economics and Business in Wroclaw. The HR Department verifies in formal terms submitted documents and may request them to be completed. The candidate is obligated to complete the legalities within 2 days under penalty of rejection;

Particular recruitment committee appointed by the Dean of faculty will assess the submitted application documents;

Based on the assessment, a list of candidates to be invited to the next recruitment stage. The selected candidates will be informed by phone or e-mail using contact details indicated in the application documents.

The verification of soft skills of the candidates indicated by the committee will be carried out with the use of competence tests.

The interviews with candidates will be conducted on particular dates, set by the committee.

Selected candidates will be informed about the place and date of the interview no later than three days before the scheduled interview.

After completing the recruitment process, the competition committee will provide a protocol containing a list of recommended candidates or information about the fact that no candidate has been selected, along with the justification, to the Rector of the University of Economics and Business in Wrocław.

V. CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT:

1) We offer full time job, contract of employment since 1st February 2024. The first employment contract is concluded for a fixed period of up to 4 years, in accordance with the Act on Higher Education and Science at the primary workplace at the Department of Financial Accounting, Taxes and Audit,

the Faculty of Business and Management Wroclaw University of Economics and Business.

The employment decision is made by the Rector of the University of Economics and Business in Wrocław.

Wroclaw University of Economics and Business reserves the right to contact the selected persons and the right to close the competition without a decision. The competition is the first stage of the recruitment procedure for the position of an academic teacher, and its positive outcome is the basis for further proceedings.

The Rector of the University of Economics and Business may invalidate the recruitment process before its completion without providing any reason

It is not anticipated that candidates may appeal against decisions/actions taken in competition.
