Job descriptionDo you have a background in innovation, sustainable entrepreneurship, new business model development and take an interest in agrifood? Are you interested in helping to develop the high-tech and data-driven sustainable food system of the future? And would you like to build your own research line around these topics? Then we are looking for you!
You will be embedded in the Innovation, Technology Entrepreneurship and Marketing (ITEM) group and will have many opportunities to connect with colleagues working on projects in the fields of sustainable business models (agrifood and other), consumer research and (sustainable) entrepreneurship. The ITEM group is part of the School of Industrial Engineering in the department of Industrial Engineering & Innovation Sciences of Eindhoven University of Technology. We focus on performing research on understanding and improving new business and product development processes within firms, organizations, and institutions in a high-tech context. As a successful candidate you will be involved in conducting top-level academic research to be published in high-quality scholarly journals.
From the outset, you will collaborate with and supervise a PhD student who will focus on the setup and execution of a collective business models design trajectory that involves many different actors (e.g. entrepreneurs, consumers, governmental institutions). Depending on your background you will be involved in lecturing courses on innovation, sustainable business models and entrepreneurship as well as supervise bachelor and master thesis students. In addition, you are expected to acquire external research funding (from, e.g., industry, NWO, EU) and be active and visible in international academic networks.

The execution of this program demands close cooperation with the consortium's partners, such as the 4TU researchers, industry partners and government stakeholders involved. As part of the program, there are five tenure track positions.
