The Industrial Engineering program in the Ingram School of Engineering at
Texas State University invites applications for a tenure track Assistant
Professor position to begin in Fall 2023. The successful candidate will be
expected to establish an externally funded research program in their areas of
expertise, exhibit a strong commitment to student-centered teaching and
mentoring at undergraduate and graduate levels, participate in curriculum and
program development, and perform university and professional service.
To assure full consideration, applications must be submitted by October 20,

Ph.D. in industrial engineering, or a closely related discipline. Degree
at time of application or official notification of expected completion of
the doctoral degree by July 31, 2023.
Research competence evidenced by publications in peer-reviewed journals
and conference proceedings.
Record of teaching experience.
Demonstrated excellence in written and oral communication.
Expertise in machine learning, data science, simulation,
reliability/quality, or operations research with applications in
healthcare, transportation, smart manufacturing, supply chain, and energy,
Postdoctoral and/or industrial experience.
Demonstrated experience writing and securing grants and contracts.
An ability to work collaboratively with faculty across multiple
departments and programs.
Experience teaching and mentoring students in academic environments with a
Prior experience as an instructor or teaching assistant for capstone
Knowledgeable about ABET accreditation procedures and deliverables.
