The Finance Department of the College of Business at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln is seeking applicants for one tenure-track Assistant Professor position in finance starting fall 2022. The position will include an initial three course per academic year teaching load at the undergraduate and/or graduate levels, and service expectations. Salary will be commensurate with experience and qualifications and will be competitive with Big Ten Universities.

About the College: With the entrance into the Big Ten, the research, teaching, and engagement missions of the College have been significantly refocused. With increased resources, a substantial number of new faculty have been hired and increased support for research has helped advance the college's research goals. In 2017, we moved into a new 240,000 square foot state-of-the art building.

About the Department: The Department of Finance is one of 37 CFA Institute program partner schools in the United States. The Department has 14 faculty members serving undergraduate, MBA and PhD programs in Finance. The department and college have excellent data resources (with access through WRDS). Current faculty members have recent publications in many of the leading journals including the Journal of Financial Economics, the Journal of Finance, the Review of Financial Studies and the Journal of Financial and Quantitative Analysis, among others. Minimum Required Qualifications

Candidates must have (or be near completion of) a Ph.D. in finance, a Ph.D. in Business with an emphasis in finance, or a Ph.D. in a related discipline. The successful candidate should show evidence of or potential for developing and maintaining a significant research program consistent with Big Ten university standards. Further, the applicant must have the ability to teach at the graduate and undergraduate levels.
