The University of Northern Iowa's Department of Management in the College of Business seeks applicants for a tenure-track position as an Assistant Professor in the area of Human Resource Management (HR), starting in August 2023. Primary teaching responsibilities will be courses in human resource management/organizational behavior, staffing, training, and/or compensation for undergraduate management students and HR majors. Applicants who are seeking a balance in teaching/research responsibilities will find a collegial work environment and a faculty actively engaged and committed to the growth and continuous improvement of the HR program.

Education Requirements:
Ph.D. in Human Resources or a related discipline (including I/O Psychology) from a recognized doctoral program in an AACSB-accredited institution required. ABDs are welcome to apply with an expected degree completion date by August 2023.
Required Qualifications:
Required qualifications include a record of excellence in teaching with evidence of a student-focused approach; demonstrated ability to produce peer- reviewed publishable research in quality management journals and the potential for an excellent research record that provides insights into issues critical for business decision-makers; demonstrated organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills; and be enterprising and demonstrate effectiveness as a member of a collaborative team.
Desirable Qualifications:
Preference will be given to candidates who provide evidence of HR-related work experience; ability to create an engaged and applied classroom environment; ability to advance the academic, professional, and personal success of students; ability to teach HR analytics; stand-alone teaching experience; active participation in appropriate professional associations; and research, teaching, and/or service that positively advances issues of diversity, equity, and inclusion.
