The Department of Engineering and Technology Management at Morehead State
University is accepting applications for a full-time tenure track position as
an Assistant Professor, Construction and Civil Engineering Technology. The
anticipated start date is January 3, 2022.
Morehead State University is located in Morehead, KY, a designated Kentucky
Trail Town, nestled in Daniel Boone National Forest, in close proximity to
Cave Run Lake. This location provides opportunities for a wide-range of
outdoor recreation activities. Additionally, Morehead State University is
relatively close to a number of larger cities including Lexington, KY,
Louisville, KY, and Cincinnati, OH. Morehead State University delivers a

RESPONSIBILITIES : Teach undergraduate and graduate courses in the areas
of statics & dynamics, construction methods and materials, structural design,
estimating, surveying, hydrology, civil drafting, project management,
transportation engineering, geotechnical engineering, sustainable construction
methods, and architectural design. Other responsibilities include advising
students, participating in departmental and university service, and developing
REQUIREMENTS : Doctorate in Civil Engineering, Construction Management,
Civil Engineering Technology, or closely related discipline required. ABD's
with completion by December 2022 may be considered. Excellent teaching skills
are required. Curriculum development, computer and multimedia skills required.
Excellent oral and written communication skills required.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: Industrial experience and/or professional
licenses/certification preferred. Professional licenses/certifications and
experience in teaching courses via distance learning technology desired.
Teaching experience in a higher education environment.
