FACULTY VACCANY ANNOUNCEMENT
The APA-accredited doctoral program in Clinical Psychology at The City College of New York (CCNY) invites applications for a full-time, tenure-track faculty position at the rank of Assistant Professor to begin in Fall 2022. The CCNY Clinical Psychology program is psychodynamically oriented with a longstanding commitment to training professionals, who will make clinical, theoretical, and research contributions that address the needs of underserved and minoritized populations. The program is located in Harlem and offers a clinic that serves a highly diverse student body as well as the surrounding community. The ideal candidate blends strong scholarly research interests with clinical acumen. They should have or be developing a program of research in one or more of these areas: psychotherapy process and outcome, lifespan development (e.g., emotion regulation, developmental psychopathology), family systems, health disparities, clinical neuroscience, trauma and addictions, mixed methods research, and linkages between assessment and treatment.
An ideal candidate would also have demonstrated clinical competence with minoritized and underserved populations. The candidate will be responsible for teaching, research, supervision, and mentoring.
They will also share responsibility for committee and department assignments, including administrative and other functions.
QUALIFICATIONS
A Ph.D. in clinical psychology from an APA accredited program is required and licensed or licensure eligible in New York as a psychologist. Also required are the ability to teach successfully, demonstrated scholarship or achievement, and ability to cooperate with others for the good of the institution.
