The Department of Psychology at Morehead State University invites applications for a tenure-track Assistant Professor position in Behavioral Neuroscience. Individuals in any area of psychology who have neuroscience or biological science training will be considered. The anticipated start date is August 7, 2023.
The department has an undergraduate program in psychology, an undergraduate program in neuroscience, and an MPCAC-accredited master's program in clinical psychology. Applicants must have a firm commitment to teaching, training, and mentoring students.
Morehead State University is located in Morehead, KY, a designated Kentucky Trail Town nestled in the Daniel Boone National Forest, close to Cave Run Lake. RESPONSIBILITIES : Responsibilities include teaching courses in one's areas of competency in the undergraduate Neuroscience program and in the undergraduate Psychology program; teaching a neuroscience course in the graduate Clinical Psychology program; developing a research program involving students; and participating in service activities.
QUALIFICATIONS : By the start date of employment, an applicant should have a Ph.D. in Psychology, with a specialization in a neuroscience or biological science-related area. Postdoctoral experience and teaching experience in higher education are preferred.
