    The competition is open to each candidate who meets the requirements set out in the Higher Education and Science Act of July 20th 2018 (Journal of Laws of 2018, item 1668 as amended) and the Statute of University of Wroclaw.

    Requirements

  • At least Ph.D. in social sciences, in the discipline of political and administrative sciences.
  • Significant and up-to-date scientific achievements in the field of political and administrative sciences, including publications from the list of journals, peer-reviewed conference materials and publishing houses from the lists of the Ministry.
  • Knowledge of English at the level allowing for teaching in this language, confirmed by a relevant language certificate or experience in international cooperation, holding a position requiring knowledge of English or documented experience in teaching in English.
  • Knowledge of spoken and written Polish at the level allowing to teach in this language in the fields of study conducted by the institute (European Studies, European Diplomacy, Migration Management)
  • Experience in acquiring funds for scientific activities and participation in research projects as principal researcher or researcher.
  • Cooperation with Polish and foreign science and research centres.
  • Specified plans for research and scientific development in the discipline of political and administrative sciences'
  • An additional asset will be scientific background in one or more of the following fields: the European Union system, political process in European countries.
  • Responsibilities

  • Conducting scientific research.
  • Preparing scientific publications for high-scoring journals and prestigious scientific publishers.
  • Applying for internal and external (including international) research grants.
  • Teaching undergraduate and graduate students and students of the Doctoral School (in Polish and English).
  • Establishing and maintaining contacts with foreign research centres.
  • Participating in international and national scientific conferences.
  • The application for the competition should include

  • A copy of the doctoral diploma.
  • A statement that should the candidate win the competition, the University of Wrocław will be his/her primary employment and should the candidate be employed (download Workplace Statement).
  • A declaration on the inclusion to the discipline in which the candidate will conduct research and, in the case of candidates conducting research in more than one discipline, the percentage of working time in each of those disciplines (download Declaration of scientific discipline).
  • A self-report containing a description of the candidate's scientific activity, degree of internationalisation, organisational activities and teaching activities.
  • A list of the candidate's publications for a period not longer than 10 years.
  • Electronic versions of the two most important publications that the candidate considers to be representative of his/her scientific achievements or an explanation of their absence.
  • An application for employment addressed to the Rector.
  • In connection with Article 113 of the Act of 20 July 2018. The Law on Higher Education and Science (download Declaration - Article 113).
  • Two recommendation letters, reserving that those letters should be sent by e-mail to the Commission Chairman at: [email protected] directly, not via the candidate and they are disclosed to the Commission members only, while by applying within the selection process, the candidate waives a right to read these letters.
