Knauss School of Business Diversity Statement

The Knauss School of Business at USD strives to create a welcoming environment that promotes diversity, equity, inclusiveness (DEI) and ethics, commensurate with our Catholic mission. We value students, faculty, and staff from different backgrounds, demographics, experiences, perspectives, and faiths.

These differences broaden our understanding of the world, and by extension, our ability to excel in learning, teaching, scholarship, and service. We view the promotion of DEI as inexorably tied to the maintenance and enhancement of academic excellence, our development as civic and campus citizens, and the realization of compassionate service.

Diversity improves our ability to identify challenges, propose innovative solutions and implement more considerate policies. We greatly value all efforts to remove prejudices from academic and business environments, to promote social justice through scholarship and service, and to attract and increase retention of underrepresented groups.
