Job Summary

This will be a non-tenure line in the Research Titles Series at an assistant/associate professor level. This faculty member will be responsible for the development of clinical translational research activities in the Center for Oral Health Research, which include a variety of community­based projects and paitnerships with the Medical Centers, College of Public Health, the Center for Health Equity and Transformation, as well as the College's international programs. Areas of emphasis will include epidemiology, immunology, microbiology, and health disparities. Position expectations include: expertise in oral microbiology/immunology and oral and systemic disease connections (2) leadership to help develop collaborative clinical- translational community-based research activities, (3) experience with Public Health and Health Disparities research. The faculty member will also be expected to advise in the development of dual degree dental programs including a DMD/MS program in collaboration with the college of Public Health and Medicine and in service to the profession as it applies to professional research development.
