The Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) program at SCSU has existed for nearly 40 years. Our students routinely publish and present class projects, internship projects, and thesis work. Faculty receive strong support in developing their teaching, research, and clinical work. The faculty position will be instrumental in helping to develop a new, externally-funded Autism Discovery Center. The new faculty member will teach courses in our new undergraduate minor, as well as our on-campus and online master's degree programs. Opportunities in a new PsyD program will be available as well.
The ABA program is located within the the Department of Community Psychology, Counseling and Family Therapy at St. Cloud State University. The department offers the degrees and programs in Community Psychology, Chemical Dependency, and Applied Behavior Analysis (minor); as well as graduate degrees in Applied Behavior Analysis, College Counseling and Student Development, Clinical Mental Health Counseling, Marriage and Family Therapy, Rehabilitation Counseling, and School Counseling.

The successful candidate is expected to establish and maintain a professional goal to become an outstanding teacher-scholar through the use of research- based, best-practices pedagogy. They are expected to teach using both in- person and alternative delivery methods such as online and hybrid. They will regularly engage in ongoing professional development and innovation opportunities focused on pedagogical growth.

Teach undergraduate and graduate courses in the B.S. in Community Psychology, Applied Behavior Analysis minor, and M.S. in Applied Behavior Analysis (distance and on-campus). Advise students, contribute to student growth and development, and engage in research, scholarship, and creative activity.
Courses to be taught may include Applied Behavior Analysis, Behavioral Supports, Behavior Assessment, Behavioral Applications, Ethics in Psychology and Behavior Analysis, Social Bases of Behavior, Principles of Behavior, topical seminars in Behavior Analysis, and supervision of practicum, internship, and thesis.
