FACULTY VACANCY ANNOUNCEMENT
The CUNY School of Medicine (CSOM) at The City College of New York (CCNY),
is the only
medical school in the City University of New York system. Our innovative
students to complete both their undergraduate Bachelor of Science (BS) and
Doctor of Medicine
(MD) degrees in seven years. CSOM graduated its first MD class in 2020. Our
mission is 1) to
provide access to medical education to talented youth from social, ethnic and
historically underrepresented in medicine and to develop health professionals
practicing in under-served communities with a special emphasis on primary care
and 2) to
perform innovative research in community health and biomedicine.
The Department of Molecular, Cellular and Biomedical Sciences (MCBS) of the
applications for a tenure track faculty position at the Assistant or Associate
Medical Professor level
in Physiology or Pharmacology. The department is formed by a vibrant community
investigating fundamental aspects of human disease in the areas of
pharmacology, biochemistry, immunology, and cell biology. Our faculty teach
courses to medical students and also train PhD students from the CUNY Graduate
seek individuals with research interests that will complement and/or expand
our existing strengths

Doctoral-level degree in a relevant discipline (physiology, pharmacology,
biology, neuroscience), postdoctoral experience and a strong publication
M.D. or Ph.D. in an appropriate discipline required, as well as a record of
significant achievement in field or profession of interest. Also required are
the ability to teach successfully and ability to cooperate with others for the
good of the institution.
