Assistant Manager (PR0291/22-23)

Responsibilities: • Develop strategies that enhance public recognition and support of the University; • Initiate and organise fundraising events and institutional advancement projects for gift solicitations; • Strengthen ties with donors and donor prospects via coordinating naming ceremonies, agreement signing ceremonies, cheque presentation ceremonies, lunches and dinners; • Provide secretarial and administrative support to the Committee of the HKBU Foundation; and • Provide support for naming of facilities for donor recognition and administration of auction items.

Requirements: • A recognised bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communication, Event Management or a related discipline, preferably with a higher degree with at least 6 years of relevant work experience; • The ability to plan, coordinate and implement a wide range of programmes and activities independently; • An excellent command of both written and spoken English and Chinese; • Strong communication, presentation and problem-solving skills; • Be a good team player who is highly self-motivated and detail-minded; • Be able to work independently as well as with stakeholders at all levels to meet tight schedules; and • Preferably have solid experience in event management.

Shortlisted candidates will be invited to attend a written assessment.

Reference salary range: HK$42,000 - HK$65,000

The initial appointment will be offered on a fixed-term contract of two years. Re-appointment thereafter will be subject to mutual agreement.

Salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience.
