The Assistant Manager will ensure all front office operations run efficiently between patients, clinicians, and staff. Primary duties include: manage patient billing, charges and collection of payments, manage patient medical records, as well as perform other administrative functions under the direct supervision of the clinical director. This position requires communication with other LSUHSC (Louisiana State University Health Sciences Center) schools and departments, referring clinicians, other healthcare facilities and schools, insurance companies, patients, and caregivers.
We are seeking candidates with the following characteristics: the ability to be flexible, multi-task and adapt to the ever-changing duties for the department's patient clinic, strong problem solving skills, confidence to make independent decisions and act accordingly, and the ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing with diverse populations.
