The Croatian Academy of Sciences and Arts, Zagreb, Trg Nikole Šubića Zrinskog 11, announces the following
CONTESTFor the post of one scholar (1 vacancy) in the associate function of assistant in the scientific area of the humanities, field of archaeology or anthropology, at the Anthropology Centre of the Croatian Academy of Sciences and Arts in Zagreb. The working post is full-time, of temporary nature for the duration of five years. It includes analyses of human osteological material and burned remains from archaeological and forensic contexts, as well as updating and digitization of the Osteological Collection of the Croatian Academy of Sciences and Arts. All candidates ought to meet general terms and conditions prescribed by the Labour Act (NN 93/14, 127/17, 98/19, 151/22).
In addition to the general employment terms and conditions, and the terms and conditions set by the Croatian Science and Academic Education Act and by-laws, candidates ought to meet the following special terms and conditions:
- Completed graduate university programme in the scientific area of the humanities, field of archaeology or anthropology;
- Knowledge of two world languages (English mandatory);
- Computer literacy;
- Trial period: 4 months.

- Copy of degree diploma in the subject field;
- Proof of grade point average (min. 4.0) or placement among the 10% most successful students;
- Two recommendations by university professors;
- Proof of knowledge of two world languages;
- Proof of computer literacy;
- Copy of certificate of the Croatian citizenship or certificate of a foreign state citizenship;
- Review of past professional work and scientific research, including a list of papers;
- Copy of certificate of no criminal record, issued 6 months previously at the latest.
Foreign nationals ought to enclose the proof of the knowledge of the Croatian language (level C2) in accordance with the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages , and the certificate on the acknowledgement of foreign academic qualification, issued by the Agency for Science and Academic Education.
