Reporting directly to the Director of Admissions, the Assistant Director of Admissions, Operations, and Events assumes a strategic leadership role, guiding a dedicated team toward the accomplishment of University objectives and enrollment targets. This pivotal position involves recruiting prospective students, overseeing web and print visuals, and actively contributing to the planning and execution of diverse recruitment events and orientation initiatives, under the guidance of the Director.
Furthermore, the Assistant Director will actively participate in implementing academic policies and providing valuable support to students, current and prospective.
Primary Responsibilities
Design, implement, and evaluate the effectiveness of all recruitment and marketing activities, while actively suggesting areas of improvement to optimize our strategies. Supervise a team of Admissions staff including the Event Coordinator, Admissions Specialists, Campus Recruitment Liaison, and student workers.
Develop, maintain, and distribute various communication materials, such as letters and forms, utilized throughout the admissions process. This includes ensuring clear and effective messaging to prospective students and collaborating with relevant stakeholders to streamline communication workflows.
Develop and monitor data-driven recruitment strategies by effectively utilizing data from a variety of sources to evaluate and gain insights into student characteristics and trends, as well as the University's market position enabling leadership to make informed decisions and optimize our recruitment efforts.
Guide the development of marketing materials for all recruitment programs, including printed publications and website promotion. Provide expertise to create compelling and impactful materials that effectively showcase our institution to prospective students, helping guide their decision-making process.
Collaborate and foster effective communication with key departments such as Information Technology, Institutional Research, Registrar, and the Assistant Vice President of Enrollment, in order to contribute to a cohesive and streamlined admissions process, ensuring efficient information flow and alignment of goals across the various stakeholders involved.
Other duties as assigned which may require occasional travel during and after normal business hours to represent the University at recruitment events and activities.
Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree and minimum of two years of related work experience.
Excellent communication skills and superior customer service experience.
Must have excellent communication and management skills, strong analytical and organization skills, and superior customer service skills.
Proficiency in developing and maintaining communication materials, strong skills in the development and delivery of presentations, database management skills (client relationship management) proficiency in utilizing data from various sources to develop and monitor data-driven recruitment strategies, detail orientation, and ability to meet deadlines.
Must also have the ability to make accurate and deliberate decisions and the ability to exercise discretion and maintain privacy.
