Position Summary/Purpose of Position:
Under general supervision, the Assistant Director of Scholarships will lead the campus wide implementation of the University's scholarship administration tool. The Assistant Director will assist in providing scholarship and other financial aid training, sharing best practices and enhancing the scholarship administration tool when appropriate. Provides correspondence and assists with counseling of students regarding merit-based and need-based scholarships available internally and externally. Works closely with the various campus colleges/units/departments that administer and offer scholarships to support scholarships and ensure all scholarships are administered efficiently according to the university's strategic enrollment and retention goals. The position supervises two financial aid counselors.
Minimum Qualifications:
Education: Bachelor's degree required.
Experience: At least 6 years of experience in financial aid including 3 years working specifically with scholarships and at least 3 years of supervisory experience.

Work is performed in an office environment and requires the ability to operate standard office equipment and keyboards. Must have the ability to lift and carry small parcels, packages and other items, to walk short distances, and drive a vehicle to deliver and pick up materials. Some local and out-of-state travel is required to attend conferences and other outreach activities.
