Job Title Assistant Director of International RecruitmentDepartment International Studies and Programs Essential Functions
The Assistant Director International Recruiting, as a part of the International Partnerships and Recruiting unit, will support the development and execution of strategic enrollment management plan to optimize traditional and nontraditional international admissions and enrollment. The Assistant Director must demonstrate professional experience including recruitment strategy development, data analysis, visualization, budget and financial management, public relations, strategic planning, policy formation, and supervisory experience. This position will maintain strong partnerships to assist the offices of International Programs, Enrollment Management, Graduate Studies, Intensive Language at UNO (ILUNO), and academic colleges, as well as external stakeholders, to meet UNO's international student recruitment goals. This position reports directly to the Director of International Programs.
Under the direction of the Director and the Associate Vice Chancellor of Global Engagement, and in collaboration with the International Partnerships and Recruiting team, the Assistant Director will advise on and support the strategic planning for and execution of international recruitment and marketing to increase international student enrollment at UNO. They will assist in research, design, and operationalization of marketing and communication plans, including social media, to support recruitment and admissions campaigns. They will monitor, advise on, and provide regular reports to leadership on international student data.
This position will research, establish and maintain relationships with recruiting organizations, international high schools, foreign and US governments, and international education organizations aiding in the development and execution of policies and procedures. Utilizing best practices to support UNO's goals for growth, this position will develop and maintain agent and agency relations, marketing, recruitment strategies, identify and monitor key markets, enrollment analytics, trends, key performance indicators, and demonstrate proficiency in the use of information systems and technology. In conjunction with International Programs leadership, the Assistant Director will engage with foreign embassies, sponsoring programs, and other official entities to develop partnerships and new student pipelines for UNO. Along with the International Recruiter, they will manage individual student leads, conversations within SalesForce, and applications within the funnel to the point of deposit. They will represent the university at recruitment events virtually and abroad, foreign embassies/consulates, and conferences/workshops. This position will require international and domestic travel.
In addition to undergraduate and graduate student populations, this position will include marketing and recruitment of students and participants for the Intensive Language at UNO (ILUNO), International Professional Development (IPD) programs, and visiting student programs.
This position will be required to exercise independent decision making to achieve international enrollment goals. This position reports directly to the Director of International Programs who will provide guidance and direction, based on UNO's overall global strategy.
Work Schedule M-F, 8 am - 5 pm, early morning, evening and weekend activities as needed Additional Duties Required Qualifications
Required Education: Bachelor's degree
Required Experience: Two to five years of experience in international recruitment, marketing or admissions. Practical knowledge of trends in recruitment and admission trends within international markets.
Experience in data analysis and interpreting admissions trends. Experience with CRM systems or advanced communications technologies.
Preferred Qualifications
Preferred Education: Master's degree
Preferred Experience: Higher education recruitment experience very strongly preferred. Knowledge of different cultures, languages and world views that can assist in the development and enhancement of this position and UNO's global strategy. Connections with professional entities such as NAFSA, AIRC, Education USA, and foreign embassies to mention a few.
