This is what the College of Arts and Letters stands for. We play an integral role in Notre Dame's mission to serve as the world's preeminent Catholic research university. We are searching for someone to join our dynamic team who shares the same passion and mission. We are looking for an Assistant Director for our Office of Communications.
Who we need: The College of Arts & Letters' Office of Communications at the University of Notre Dame is seeking a dynamic, intellectually curious, creative, and collaborative assistant director who is passionate about producing content and developing messaging that promotes the arts, humanities, and social sciences. This position is responsible for overseeing two key pieces of the office's communications strategy — editorial and digital storytelling, and undergraduate recruitment and engagement.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities: The assistant director functions as senior editor of all Arts & Letters content, managing the production of news and feature stories which showcase the value of a Notre Dame liberal arts education, enhance the College's research reputation and prestige, and demonstrate the global impact of students and alumni from a wide range of programs. This position is also responsible for leading social media strategy and content creation efforts, composing and distributing e-newsletters, maintaining the home page and other areas of the College website, copy editing other material produced by the office, and overseeing a staff writer/editor, student workers, and freelance writers. As assistant director, this position works closely with the office's director of communications and marketing to develop communications strategies and tactics in support of the College's goals. This position manages key projects and events related to undergraduate recruitment and engagement and is responsible for developing programming and marketing collateral targeted toward prospective and current students and their parents.
