General Summary:
The Assistant Director for Veteran Recruitment is responsible for the development and/or implementation of outreach, recruitment activities and strategies to attract veteran and transfer students to the University. The Assistant Director will arrange and attend two-year college fairs and conduct monthly visits; develop relationships with external military partners, create and execute a recruitment strategy that results in visiting locations that have a high population of veteran and military personnel; represent the University at on campus and off campus events for Veterans; monitor prospects and applications and implement strategies to convert them in the admissions funnel; utilize yield strategies to increase enrollment of veteran and transfer students; review applications and render admission decisions for all undergraduate applicants; review non-equivalent courses and determine transferability; create and update articulation tables in the transfer computer system; provide career and enrollment counseling to students; and conduct interviews and information sessions. The Assistant Director for Veteran Recruitment will be responsible for evaluation of military transcripts for academic credit; have knowledge of Veteran's benefits; work in collaboration with the Office of Veteran's Affairs and the Veteran's Center for Excellence. Represent the Undergraduate Admissions Office on key committees helping to promote access and services for veteran applicants and students. The Assistant Director will also be assigned as the liaison to the Office of Veteran's Affairs and assist with related veteran events and programs. This position will also work closely with the Enrollment Marketing team to create digital and print collateral that is specific to the recruitment and yield of Veteran prospects. They will also assist with freshman and transfer recruitment initiatives as necessary.

Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree and a minimum of one-three years of experience in post- secondary administration, counseling or recruitment required. Ideal candidates will be experienced in transfer credits, have technological skills relative to transfer of credit, and have previous admissions experience in recruitment, application reading and/or counseling prospective students, including experience using a Customer Relationship Management system (CRM). Knowledge of military experience, benefits, and transcripts is beneficial.
