Position Details
Reporting to the Associate Director for Auxiliary Services Operations, the Assistant Director is responsible for management of the University box office and ticketing system, management of the student event staff for all department and center sponsored campus events (Center for the Arts spaces), and oversight support for Auxiliary Services facility operations.
Responsibilities include:
This is an on-campus position working 37.5 hours per week for 45 weeks. This position also requires evening and weekend hours to support evening and weekend events.
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor's degree and four years experience in event management, box office management or related experience or an equivalent combination of education, experience, and training.
Effective communication skills.
Proven ability to work independently, set priorities, and follow through on details in a fast-paced environment.
Excellent customer service orientation.
Proficiency in MS Office.
Availability to work a flexible schedule including evenings and weekends.
Demonstrated commitment to work within a diverse environment and interact openly with individuals of different backgrounds.
Experience with accounting and cash management.
Preferred Qualifications
Previous related experience in a university center or student union.
Experience working with AV systems and technical support.
Familiarity with EMS Scheduling software.
Ability to assemble and disassemble staging, etc.
Experience with a computerized ticketing system.
Experience managing student staff.
