The Assistant Course Manager will be responsible for supervising and supporting a small team of Course Administrators who administer postgraduate taught courses (Masters', Diplomas and Certificates). You will ensure the efficient and effective administration of all key processes for these courses in line with departmental and University requirements.
Our ideal candidate will have significant experience of student administration within Higher Education or a similar environment, together with strong team work skills, significant experience of supervising staff, and excellent standards of accuracy. You also need excellent communication skills and experience of conveying detailed and complex policies and procedures. You will need to demonstrate the ability to work with a significant degree of autonomy, the ability to think innovatively and creatively - with good judgement - to solve complex problems, and you need to have experience of leading impactful improvements to administrative processes. Experience of line management would be an advantage, together with experience of acting as Secretary to examination boards, and supporting online teaching via Microsoft Teams and the Canvas virtual learning environment.
This full-time post is offered for approximately 15 months, from April 2023. Flexible working requests can be considered for this post.
