Assistant Coach - Women's Volleyball Job Number Full/Part Time Schedule Salary

Position Information

The Assistant Coach of Women's Volleyball is responsible for assisting with all aspects of an NCAA Division I Volleyball program, including but not limited to, the identification and recruitment of academically and athletically qualified student-athletes; supporting the academic progress of student-athletes; preparing and conducting individual and team practices, training, film review, statistical analysis and competition; fostering the academic, athletic, and personal growth of student-athletes; organizing team and staff travel arrangements; facilitating administrative duties and paperwork; managing the distribution and ordering of team equipment and office supplies; coordinating and administering special volleyball events, social media and representing the sports program as needed in association with promoting and fundraising for the program.

Please note: This is a 12-month contract position.

The full salary range for the Assistant Coach of Women's Volleyball is $40,400.00 - $66,000.00 annually. The expected pay scale for this position is $40,400.00 - $42,000.00 annually. We base salary offers on a variety of considerations, such as education, licensure and certifications, experience, and other business and organizational needs.

Applicants must have current work authorization when accepting a UCR staff position. Currently, we are unable to sponsor or take over sponsorship of an employment Visa for staff.

As a condition of employment, you will be required to comply with the University of California SARS-CoV-2 (COVID-19) Vaccination Program Policy. All Covered Individuals under the policy must provide proof of Full Vaccination or submit a request for Exception (based on Medical Exemption, Disability, and/or Religious Objection) or Deferral (based on pregnancy) no later than the applicable deadline. For new University of California employees, the applicable deadline is ten weeks after their first date of employment.

Minimum Requirements

Current knowledge of applicable rules and standards of the affiliated athletic conference, the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) or National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA), as well as other associations and agencies to which the campus adheres, and, at all times avoid any and all violations of these rules and standards. Demonstrated interpersonal skills and ability to work effectively with athletic participants. Specialized knowledge of the team sport or activity, as well as basic technical expertise in coaching principles. Ability to demonstrate sound judgment and decision-making; be an effective problem solver and effectively communicate verbally and in writing. Demonstrated effective problem solving and communication skills, verbally and in writing.
