Indiana University Southeast (IUS) Master of Arts Mental Health Counseling program seeks a passionate and dedicated Clinical Assistant Professor Counselor Educator to join our faculty in August 2023. This position is a full-time, non-tenure track position with the possibility of tenure-track. Applicants must have an earned doctorate in Counselor Education or a doctorate in a related field who has taught in a CACREP program prior to 2013. ABD will be considered if the degree will be conferred by date of hire. The ideal candidate will have a commitment to diversity and a record of successful engagement with individuals from diverse backgrounds and perspectives. Applicants should possess a strong identification with the field of clinical mental health counseling and passion for mentoring graduate counselor education students. Successful candidates will be licensed or license eligible in the state of Indiana and have experience supervising masters level practicum and internship. Teaching responsibilities will include teaching in the Master of Arts Mental Health Counseling program, both face-to-face and on-line, and undergraduate courses in the psychology major as needed. Preference will be given to candidates who have prior graduate teaching experience. Experience with CACREP accreditation procedures is preferred. This position requires a 4:4 teaching load. Summer teaching is required. Service is expected at the program, school, and university level.
Indiana University Southeast is one of the seven campuses of the Indiana University system located in New Albany, Indiana and is 5 miles from downtown Louisville, Kentucky. The MAMHC program is a young program that offers opportunities for creative program development. The program is currently pursuing CACREP accreditation.

Basic Qualifications
Earned doctorate in Counselor Education from a CACREP accredited program or a doctorate from a related field who taught full-time in a CACREP accredited counselor education program prior to 2013. ABD will be considered if degree will be conferred prior to August 1, 2023.
· Licensed or license eligible as an LMHC in the State of Indiana.
· Two years of clinical counseling experience
· One year of teaching experience at both the graduate and undergraduate level
· Experience teaching courses online and in-person
· Familiarity with CACREP standards and accreditation processes
Preferred Qualifications
· Commitment to teaching from a diverse and social justice perspective.
· An enthusiasm for advising and mentoring graduate counseling students
· An interest in teaching research and assessment courses and supervising practicum and internship
· Willingness to serve as program Clinical Coordinator
· Strong counselor identity
· Leadership in the counseling field at the state or national level
