The Indiana University School of Social Work (IUSSW) invites applications
for the position of Assistant Clinical Professor for Child Welfare Education
and Training. This is a full-time, twelve-month non-tenure track faculty
appointment under the oversight of the Child Welfare Education and Training
Partnership. Primary responsibilities are based on the IUPUI campus with some
statewide responsibilities for assigned BSW or MSW Child Welfare Scholar
students. Anticipated start date will be March 1, 2022.
The Assistant Clinical Professor for Child Welfare Education and Training
reports to the Director of the Child Welfare Education and Training
Partnership. Primary responsibilities for this position include recruiting and
admissions for BSW or MSW Child Welfare Scholar students, recruiting and
assessing field placement agencies and field instructors, engaging students in
the field planning process and assigning students to specific field
placements. Field Instruction Coordinators act as consultants to faculty
liaisons, field instructors, agency directors and students in resolving field
practicum difficulties. The incumbent is required to teach one course per
calendar year in the BSW or MSW program, or the equivalency in faculty field
liaison responsibilities. Additionally, this position will provide service to
the School by participating in school-wide and program-level committees.
The Indiana University School of Social Work (IUSSW) is a university-wide
system school with an MSW Program accredited by the Council on Social Work
Education since 1923 and a BSW Program accredited since 1975. The IUSSW is
headquartered at Indiana University-Purdue University Indianapolis (IUPUI)

Essential qualifications include: a master's degree in social work (MSW)
from a CSWE-accredited program plus a minimum of two years post-MSW full-time

Previous practice experience in public child welfare is strongly preferred.
Experience supervising social work students as a field instructor is a plus.
Strong communication, organizational and problem-solving skills are desired.
