Position Summary
The Assistant Athletic Trainer reports to the Head Athletic Trainer. The primary task is to provide assistance for all aspects of the care and well- being of student athletes competing in the University's varsity athletic program. The assistant athletic trainer is responsible for the prevention, evaluation, and rehabilitation of injuries within the University's comprehensive sports medicine program. They also plays a significant role in addressing issues that can negatively impact the Student Athlete's well being and athletic performance.
Required Qualifications
Minimum Bachelor's degree in appropriate area of specialization. Familiarity with NCAA governing rules. Certified by the National Athletic Trainers Association Board of Certification (NATABOC). Commonwealth of PA Department of State Bureau of Professional and Occupational Affairs Licensed Athletic Trainer (or Eligible). Familiarity with NCAA policies. The ability to be a well-organized and work independently.
Preferred Qualifications
Master's degree and experience in a college setting.
