    The University of Northern Iowa's Department of Social Work seeks applicants for tenure-track positions as Assistant or Associate Professor of Social Work, starting in August 2023. One position will be filled as an Assistant Professor or Associate Professor; the other position will be filled as an Assistant Professor. Area of specialization is open. The department's generalist BSW program and trauma-informed care focused MSW program are both accredited by the Council on Social Work Education. Candidates should be capable of teaching a broad spectrum of courses in social work with varied course delivery modalities (e.g., hybrid, online, face to face), possess oral and written communication skills that are effective and appropriate, and demonstrate an ability to develop a research program and disseminate results through scholarly publications and presentations. In-person, on-campus teaching and regular office hours are required. Rank will be commensurate according to current rank (assistant or associate professor) or cumulative teaching, administrative, or regulatory background experiences.     Education Requirements:

    MSW from a CSWE-accredited program plus a Ph.D. in Social Work or related area required. ABDs with evidence of degree completion before the date of hire will be considered. Applicants with a DSW or PsyD possessing a record of research and a research agenda will receive consideration.

    Desirable Qualifications:

    Preference will be given to candidates with post-MSW practice experience.
