Pfeiffer University seeks applicants for an Assistant/Associate Professor of
Sport Management and Undergraduate Business, to support the overall mission
and vision of Pfeiffer University through excellence in teaching and advising
students in the Sport Management and Undergraduate Business programs at the
Misenheimer, NC campus.
The successful candidate will teach a minimum of 24 credit hours annually in a
9-month contract with the flexibility for online teaching.

and collegial style which favors an open-minded, collaborative, innovative,
growth mindset and demonstrable results-oriented focus. The successful
candidate will also have a commitment to the principles of servant leadership,
an ability to work with and mentor traditional undergraduate and non-
traditional adult students, join committees on campus to serve the
institution, and have a history of active organizational and civic engagement.
Pfeiffer University is a private, Liberal Arts University, affiliated with the

approximately 40 miles northeast of Charlotte, NC and satellite locations in

Ph.D. preferred in Sport Management or related field from a regionally or
nationally accredited university.
Previous teaching and sport practitioner experience is preferred.
Preferred qualifications include: a Teaching areas to include: Sport
Marketing, Sport Analytics, Event & Facility Management, Sociology of
Sport, General Business Marketing and other closely related topics.
Demonstrated ability to successfully develop and implement project-based
learning experiences and other innovative pedagogical teaching methods.
Ability to effectively teach across all facets of the Sport Management
