Our Lady of the Lake University is seeking a full-time, tenure-track assistant
or associate professor in speech-language pathology, beginning August 2022.
OLLU is a leader in training bilingual speech-language pathologists and our
curriculum pays special attention to cultural competence and humility.
Responsibilities include primarily teaching in our newly approved clinical
doctorate in speech-language pathology, as well as providing clinical
supervision of master's level students. Research endeavors include conducting
research in the applicant's area of interest and mentoring capstone projects
in our clinical doctorate program. Additional responsibilities include
advising students and participating on school, college, and university
Qualified candidates will have obtained a Ph.D./Ed.D. degree in Communication
Sciences and Disorders or a related field. The selected candidate must be able
to obtain Texas licensure for speech-language pathology and hold ASHA
certification in speech-language pathology before beginning the position in
San Antonio is a rapidly growing city, ranked 7th in population nationally,
with numerous options for entertainment, dining, recreation, including our
popular River Walk. The city is rich in cultural diversity and boasts a low
cost of housing and living.
