The Department of Family Medicine/ Osteopathic Manipulative Medicine is a multifaceted, interdisciplinary team of dedicated healthcare providers and researchers who are committed to providing excellence in clinical care, primary care education, and research. Through innovative curricular designs, early clinical experiences, and mentorship, the Department is focused on producing highly competent, caring, and compassionate Family Medicine/OMM physicians, helping reduce the shortage of primary care physicians in our Texas communities.
Position Summary
The Family Medicine Department at the University of North Texas Health Science Center is seeking to hire an Assistant/Associate Professor to join our team.
Responsibilities of the position include but are not limited to:
Responsibilities: Teaching and mentoring of medical students Resident supervision with our AOA/ACGME approved Family Medicine Residency Program Ambulatory patient care in a medical home model Research and academic scholarly activity encouraged with protected academic time Minimal call, rotates every-other 2 weeks, average patients a day is 20
Minimum Qualifications
DO/MD degree from an accredited college Ability to obtain an unrestricted Texas Medical license Board eligible or certified by start date
Preferred Qualifications
Must possess excellent communication, clinical, and leadership skills Bilingual Spanish/English or other foreign language is a plus Academic experience is preferred but not mandatory
