The Department of Neurological Sciences at the Robert Larner, M.D. College of
Medicine (LCOM) at the University of Vermont (UVM) and the University of
Vermont Medical Center (UVMMC) seek to recruit a fellowship-trained, board-
certified neurologist with board-certified/board-eligible qualifications in
clinical neurophysiology to join the Comprehensive Epilepsy Center at UVMMC.
This is a full-time 1.0 FTE clinical position with a corresponding faculty
appointment in the Department of Neurological Sciences. A successful candidate
will demonstrate expertise in epilepsy, including epilepsy surgery evaluation,
with an additional interest in clinical/translational research and/or
resident, fellow, and medical student education.
The Comprehensive Epilepsy Center at UVMMC serves a population base of
approximately 1.2 million providing patients from Vermont and Upstate New York
with access to an active Epileptic Monitoring Unit (EMU) and intraoperative
electrophysiology monitoring program.
UVMMC is located in Burlington and serves as Vermont's only academic medical
center. Burlington is a small but vibrant community on the shores of Lake
Champlain between the Adirondack and Green Mountains. The area offers year-
round recreational opportunities, safe communities, and excellent schools,
while Burlington itself is frequently cited as among the most livable cities
in the United States.
