Job Description:

The Department of Physical Therapy at Western Kentucky University invites applications for an 11- month, Pedagogical or Research tenure track appointment at the rank of Assistant / Associate Professor beginning Summer or Fall 2022. Responsibilities include teaching in the entry-level Doctor of Physical Therapy Program, research and other scholarly activities, and service to the department, college, university, and profession.

Requirements:

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities for Essential Success

Ability to teach in one or more of the following areas: research, physical modalities, anatomy, pathophysiology, neuromuscular, cardiopulmonary, diagnostic imaging, geriatrics, and/or health promotion and wellness.

Job Requirements

Successful candidates will meet the following criteria:

  • A doctorate in physical therapy or an earned academic doctorate in a related field (PhD, EdD, DSc, etc.). Applicants who are ABD-status will also be considered.
  • Graduation from a CAPTE-accredited physical therapist program.
  • Eligible for licensure by the Kentucky Board of Physical Therapy.
  • Minimum of 3 years clinical experience as a physical therapist.
