The Department of Physical Therapy at Western Kentucky University invites
applications for an 11- month, Pedagogical or Research tenure track
appointment at the rank of Assistant / Associate Professor beginning Summer or
Fall 2022. Responsibilities include teaching in the entry-level Doctor of
Physical Therapy Program, research and other scholarly activities, and service
to the department, college, university, and profession.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities for Essential Success
Ability to teach in one or more of the following areas: research, physical
modalities, anatomy, pathophysiology, neuromuscular, cardiopulmonary,
diagnostic imaging, geriatrics, and/or health promotion and wellness.
Successful candidates will meet the following criteria:
A doctorate in physical therapy or an earned academic doctorate in a
related field (PhD, EdD, DSc, etc.). Applicants who are ABD-status will
also be considered.
Graduation from a CAPTE-accredited physical therapist program.
Eligible for licensure by the Kentucky Board of Physical Therapy.
Minimum of 3 years clinical experience as a physical therapist.
