Position descriptionThe Department of Radiology (https:// radiology.ucsd.edu) is committed to academic excellence and diversity within the faculty, staff, and student body and is seeking Emergency Radiology faculty.
The successful candidates will provide imaging interpretation for the UCSD Radiology evening shift and will also interpret multimodality cross-sectional and radiographic studies from the Emergency Department, Trauma, and Inpatient services. The successful candidates will also provide supervision of residents and fellows with teaching responsibilities both at the workstation and in didactic spaces.
The appropriate series and appointment at the Assistant, Associate, or Full Professor level will be based on the candidate's background and experience.

Salary is commensurate with background and based on the University of California pay scales. Appointments may require candidates to be self-funded.
As a member of the Health Sciences Compensation Plan, the appointee should be aware that there are limitations on outside professional activities and that clinical moonlighting is expressly prohibited. QualificationsBasic qualifications (Required at Time of Application)
Candidates must have an MD or equivalent degree and must have or be eligible for a California medical license or equivalent certification/permit as determined by the Medical Board of California. Candidates must be board certified or board eligible from the American Board of Radiology. Candidates must also have completed a residency in Diagnostic Radiology.
Preferred qualifications
Candidates who have completed a fellowship in Emergency Radiology or other related subspecialty fellowship training are preferred.
