The School of Nursing and Midwifery (SNAMs) which sits within the Faculty of Health delivers training across multiple sites in Exeter, Plymouth and Cornwall. The School is currently seeking to appoint a proactive and enthusiastic Assistant Administrator to provide cross site placement and programme administrative support.
Under the direction of the Senior Administrator Placement and Senior Programme Co-ordinator and as a member of the team, you will contribute to the provision of a student focused, integrated delivery of cost effective and efficient programme and practice placement administrative support service.
The tasks will include front line contact with students and responding to their queries, processing student travel claims and timesheets. Working alongside the programme administrator, you will assist in maintaining student records, monitoring attendance at mandatory sessions, programme documentation and supporting the allocation of practice placements using a variety of IT packages in addition to minute taking at Subject Assessment Panels and programme committees. The post requires a flexible attitude in an ever changing environment with good team working, organisational skills, IT and keyboard skills, the ability to identify and seek resolutions to problems, and able to work within tight deadlines. Good communication skills are essential. Experience in a student related environment is preferred.
The post will be located in the Rolle Building situated on the University's main campus within the city centre. Travel to other sites may be necessary.

This is a part-time position working 18.5 hours per week for a period of 12 months due to funding.
