About the role
We have an exciting opportunity to join the Academic Office team at Kellogg College as our Assistant Academic Administrator (Student Progression and Support) – Maternity Cover.
You will report directly to the Academic Registrar and will have responsibility for on-course student support, ceremony event management, and student records. It is essential that you work collaboratively and communicate effectively, seeking advice from the Academic Administrator where necessary.
You will be responsible for providing on-going support to students in completing required processes including Graduate Studies Progression Forms (GSO), Examination Entry, Re-enrolment, visa monitoring, ensuring regulatory compliance with University deadlines and standards in all areas, overseeing the College's immigration procedures for students in line with the University's policies and relevant legislation and planning and leading the delivery of the ceremony cycle to ensure College is allocated an appropriate number of spaces across each year to coincide with students receiving their results, whilst liaising with other College teams to ensure that College can provide the appropriate support for the proposed dates.
You will be joining the University of Oxford's most international college, with a unique mix of students: it is the University's leading college for students reading for degrees on a part-time basis and has a strong and vibrant body of full-time students. The College's wider academic community includes members drawn from across the full range of academic disciplines in the University.
About you
You will have experience of process design and/or systems management, experience of handling sensitive or personal information and exercising high levels of discretion and knowledge of student support or progression in further or higher education. You will possess the proven ability to clearly communicate information both verbally and in writing. You will have high level of accuracy and attention to details, and the ability to work closely with colleagues, building good working relationships and ensuring responsibilities are clearly communicated and met.
