Buildings and Property Division are the stewards of our beautiful campuses. The Asset Planning Engineer (Mechanical) is responsible for providing strategic and tactical asset management planning in the areas of HVAC, BMS, Hydraulics and Vertical Transport, which ensures the effective development and sustainable operation of building and site services that meet the current and future needs of the University.
Reporting to the Senior Manager Engineering under broad direction, this position will also establish and maintain design and development controls that maximise the quality and environmental performance of newly constructed or refurbished building and site services.
We are on an ambitious journey of full campus electrification, the removal of gas infrastructure and Net Zero commitments. You will be instrumental in overseeing strategic design that compliments these sustainability requirements, including the chance to work with and design innovative engineering solutions.

As the successful candidate, you will hold a relevant qualification with extensive relevant experience in the development and implementation of asset management of mechanical services. You will be experienced in leading and evaluating initiatives aligned to best practice, as well as leading the systematic measurement and improvement of customer centric work processes and practices to support excellence in customer experience.

This role is based predominantly on our Clayton campus, however travel to other campuses of the University may be required.
