    The Administrative Assistant acts as the first point of contact for staff, students, external partners and visitors, supporting the efficient coordination of administrative operations in the Australian National Internships Program (ANIP). The Administrative Assistant plays a key role in providing general administrative assistance and attending to enquiries, providing first level advice and escalating more complex enquiries to the appropriate responsible staff. They will assist in co-ordinating careers initiatives within the College of Arts and Social Sciences (CASS) including liaising with external partners and university stakeholders.

    The successful applicant will have demonstrated experience in a complex organisation, a strong customer service focus with well-developed liaison skills, and the ability to prioritise own workload. Excellent administration skill and effective communication skills in writing, over the phone and in person are essential.

    The Australian National Internships Program (ANIP) was created in 1993 to enable university students to experience policymaking in action through a research-based internship in the Commonwealth Parliament of Australia.

    The ANU College of Arts and Social Sciences (CASS) is one of seven Colleges at ANU. The College, which is structured into two main research schools, offers degrees in more than 20 discipline areas and excels in research across the creative arts, humanities and social sciences. The College has a substantial international research presence and is a major source of national policy advice.
