Provide developmental evaluations, including vision and hearing screening, for children birth to age 3 who have qualified for services through Tennessee's Early Intervention System (TEIS). This position is specific to the Greater Nashville area of Tennessee.

Essential Functions

The essential functions of a Milestones annual evaluator include providing direct services to children including hearing and vision screening, at a minimum of 30 days prior to annual IFSP development and 30 days prior to the child's exit from TEIS in accordance with Part C of IDEA and federal state regulations. An Annual Evaluator 1 should have experience conducting evaluations for TEIS.

Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution in Early Childhood Special Education, Early Childhood Education, Child and Family Studies (Child Development), Early Intervention, or related field. Related field means a degree in Deaf Education or Visual Disabilities, Special Education K-12, Elementary /Education, Communication Disorders and Speech Language Pathology. Social Work, nursing and psychology degrees are not considered related fields.

Preferred Qualifications

Master's degree or Doctorate degree in Early Childhood Special Education, Early Childhood Education, Child and Family Studies (Child Development), Early Intervention, or related field. Previous experience working with/interacting with the Tennessee Early Intervention System. Experience in early intervention. Highly trained to reliability on the BDI-2 NU assessment. Bilingual.

Work Hours

Typical hours are Monday-Friday, 8:00 a.m. – 4:30 p.m.

Salary Commensurate with education and experience.
