About the Role The Animal Care Technical Assistant will play a significant role in leading and coordinating the sourcing, collection, and delivery of anatomical materials in support of the Faculty of Science's teaching and research activities. The position plays a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of anatomical specimen management for academic and research purposes. It also includes maintaining strong stakeholder relationships, adhering to record- keeping requirements, and actively participating in continuous improvement initiatives.
Your responsibilities will include:
Who We Are Looking For You will have demonstrated knowledge and skills in handling sensitive anatomical materials and a sound understanding of animal ethics, biosecurity, and environmental health and safety. You can demonstrate excellent communication skills, flexibility, and an ability to work effectively within a diverse team while being adaptable in a busy environment. Experience in a university or animal research environment is desirable.
