Alumni Relations Coordinator Temporary Cover

Cambridge Judge Business School leverages the power of academia for real-world impact to transform individuals, organisations and society. Since 1990, Cambridge Judge has forged a reputation as a centre of rigorous thinking and high-impact transformative education, situated within one of the world's most prestigious research universities, and in the heart of the Cambridge Cluster, the most successful technology entrepreneurship cluster in Europe.

The Alumni & External Engagement team is one of the primary external-facing departments within the Judge. The team's functions include Alumni Relations, Events, Development, Stewardship, and managing communications related to these areas. The role exists to ensure students and alumni are well connected to and educated about the alumni network, and that relationships with key alumni volunteers within their region of responsibility are nurtured and maintained, strengthening the global CJBS community of advocates and ambassadors.

The successful candidate will have experience within a customer-facing role, and should ideally have an understanding of the higher education environment, as well as relevant experience in alumni, student, or membership relations. You will be an excellent communicator with knowledge of key communication principles and experience in database and information management. Excellent administration and organisational skills, time management and an understanding of event management are prerequisites for this role. The ability to work successfully as part of a team, and build strong working relationships with both internal and external stakeholders is also required. Additionally, flexibility, adaptability, and problem-solving skills are essential. The successful candidate should also possess a high level of initiative and be able to take ownership of projects and tasks, working independently to achieve goals.

This role is based in central Cambridge and offers a flexible working arrangement, which includes a combination of working from home and working in the office. The role includes occasional out-of-hours work and travel.

Applications are also welcome from internal candidates who would like to apply for the role on the basis of a secondment from their current role at the University.

Temporary cover: This post is fixed-term for 1 year or the return of the post holder, whichever is earlier.
