Work with and around cattle, pigs, and sheep. Responsible for weighing, sorting, and animal health. Responsibilities include daily maintenance of machinery and fences, treating sick animals, feeding livestock in the winter, helping with hay in the summer, and the collection of research data.

Minimum Required Qualifications

High school diploma plus one year agriculture experience required; equivalent education/experience considered. Precision, accuracy and attention to detail necessary. Ability to maintain equipment, machinery, fields and pastures essential. Must meet driver standards according to UNL policy and have a valid driver's license.

Preferred Qualifications

Associate's degree in Animal Science or related field preferred. Experience working with large animals preferred.
