8:00 am – 5:00 pm; Monday – Friday with evening and weekend hours required, as necessary.
Primary Purpose of Position
This employee is responsible for communicating the admission policies, procedures, and opportunities available at the university to students, parents and community college personnel. The employee is responsible for making admissions decisions on first-year and transfer student applications. The employee has total authority to accept, deny or defer a student's application to the university. The decision and evaluation made by this employee commits UNC Charlotte to a binding contract with the applicant. His/her decisions are not reviewed by his/her supervisor or the Director of Admissions. This will receive a year long training program to become an expert in the decision making field. The admission of students is essential to the mission of the university to educate the people in North Carolina and other states and nations. This position also assists with freshmen recruitment, travel, and application review as needed.
Minimum Education/Experience
Required Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree; or equivalent combination of training and experience. All degrees must be received from appropriately accredited institutions.
University Preferred Qualifications:
Graduation from a four-year college or university and two years of administrative or office management experience in the student services or related field; or equivalent.
