Purpose of Position
The Admissions Coordinator will play a crucial role in the admissions process, responsible for managing all recruitment and yield initiatives specifically focused on an assigned territory, such as Central KY, private schools, territories in Ohio, Indiana et.. This entails developing and nurturing important connections within the local community to aid in recruitment efforts driving successful recruitment efforts, maintaining accurate student records, and providing valuable data and insights to support decision-making within the admissions department.
Key responsibilities include creating and maintaining accurate and up-to-date CRM (Customer Relationship Management) and SAP data for prospective, admitted and confirmed students within their assigned area. This involves regularly inputting and updating student information, ensuring the accuracy and completeness of records. Additionally, the coordinator will generate comprehensive reports using the CRM and SAP systems, providing valuable insights and analysis on the admissions process for the assigned area.
The Admissions Coordinator will actively participate in outreach activities, including attending college fairs, high school visits, and other events, in order to promote NKU and attract potential students. They will engage with prospective students, answering inquiries, providing information about the admissions process, and assisting with application procedures.
The coordinator will work closely with the Assistant Director of Admissions and other team members to align recruitment strategies, share best practices, and ensure consistent messaging throughout the admissions process. This position also serves as the backup to the Assistant Director of Admissions.
Primary Responsibilities
Implement recruitment events and scholarship recognition programs.
Promote NKU to the general public
Develop, implement, and oversee student workers.
Manage recruitment in the assigned territory/region which includes Central Kentucky, Private Schools, regions in Ohio, Indiana, or other territories as assigned:
Develop and maintain relationships with key constituents across campus:
Serve as the liaison to campus key stakeholders and relevant departments across NKU, collaborating with these departments to develop targeted recruitment strategies and support services for African American and Latino students.
Qualifications
Knowledge of college admissions processes and an understanding of the various stages and requirements of the college admissions process, including recruitment strategies, application procedures, and enrollment procedures, familiarity with marketing and promotional techniques, strong written and verbal communication, and collaboration skills.
Event planning and coordination, relationship building, and networking skills
Ability to work as part of a team and contribute to a positive and supportive work environment.
Computer literacy and knowledge of basic website management.
Understanding, appreciation, and ability to work with various cultural, ethnic, and socioeconomic backgrounds
